Thank you so much for your interest in Hairloom Extensions and Styling. I’m excited to learn more about your hair and what you’re hoping to achieve. Before getting started, you’ll be asked to upload a few things: current photos of your hair, an inspiration photo for your desired color, and a photo that shows the length you’re wanting to achieve. Having these saved on your phone or computer ahead of time will make the process super easy.

If you have fine or thinning hair and you're tired of solutions that cover the problem instead of actually improving it — you're in the right place. I'm Shaina, a Fine Hair Extension Specialist, Certified Hair Loss Practitioner, and Associate Trichologist located in Montgomery, NY. As availability allows, I take on a limited number of new extension guests who align with my scalp-first, hair health approach. My work focuses on minimal rows and low-tension installations designed specifically for fine or low-density hair. I specialize in subtle density and natural-looking enhancement — not heavy builds or dramatic overextensions. Everything I do is centered around supporting your natural hair growth and long-term scalp health. Extensions are used strategically to enhance what you have, while we work to preserve and strengthen your natural hair underneath. When adding length, I carefully consider your natural density and strength, so we choose an extension length that blends beautifully without compromising the integrity of your hair. Color is approached conservatively and strategically. Most clients opt for low-maintenance color, glossing, or subtle dimension to avoid unnecessary over-processing. The goal is always a soft, seamless blend that keeps your hair healthy. My philosophy is simple: extensions should enhance your natural hair, not compete with it. Every recommendation I make prioritizes scalp health, longevity, and results that still look beautiful months down the road. During your consultation, we'll review your goals, hair history, and lifestyle to determine if my approach is the right fit for you.

Timing and investment
For your initial appointment, please plan to be at the salon for approximately 3–4 hours. I’ll be able to give you a more accurate time estimate during our consultation. Most new clients can expect their initial appointment investment to fall within the following ranges:$1,750–$3,000 for a one-row application or two-row application. Your exact investment will be narrowed down after our phone consultation. Please note, this is not the cost of every appointment. Maintenance pricing will also be discussed and tailored after our consultation. Your initial application appointment includes: Custom color for your natural hair Custom-colored hair extensions A blending haircut Blow-dry and styling The ideal maintenance schedule is every 6–8 weeks. Most clients can expect maintenance appointments to range between:$575–$1300 depending on how many rows and the color service we do.

Retainer deposit and card on file
To reserve your appointment on my schedule, a 50% retainer of your total quoted service is required, along with a card kept on file. This retainer is non-refundable and will be applied toward the cost of your service.
Policies
Appointments I see clients by appointment only — no walk-ins. This keeps the space private and unrushed, and means I'm never double-booked. Your time is yours. Deposits A 50% deposit is required to book. It's applied to your service total. Deposits are transferable one time. Cancellations & rescheduling I ask for 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations inside 48 hours are subject to a 50% fee, and a no call/no show is charged 100%. I completely understand that life happens — I just ask for respect and communication, and I'll always do the same for you. Late arrivals Please arrive on time. Because I work one-on-one and don't double-book, a late start may mean we have to shorten or reschedule your service to protect the next guest's time. If your lateness means I can't complete your full service, you'll still be charged the full original service price. Refunds Due to the nature of salon services and product-based regimens, refunds aren't offered. That said, I want you to love your results — if you ever have a concern, reach out and I'll always work with you to make it right. Your hair / outside hair In most cases I don't work with outside hair. I can't vouch for the quality, longevity, or how it will behave with your natural hair over time. I use trusted brands I've personally vetted so everything blends beautifully and protects your scalp and strands. If you already have hair and want me to assess it, let's talk at your consultation — I may still recommend sourcing new hair for the best result. Guests & children To keep the environment calm and focused, I ask that you come solo. It helps both of us stay present and keeps your appointment relaxing. Maintenance Extensions need a maintenance move-up every 6–8 weeks, and the wefts themselves last about 6–7 months before they're replaced. Staying on schedule protects your scalp and keeps everything healthy and sitting right. Health & comfort My studio is a quiet, private, one-on-one space.
